I recently stumbled upon some curious little husk cherries. Super-sweet, with flavors of pineapple, vanilla, citrus, and yellow cake, they could've gone straight into a pie without any additional sugar. But because I've yet to master gluten-free pastry, I decided to eat them for lunch instead of dessert. Learn more about husk cherries, and find my recipe for Husk Cherry Waldorf Salad at

I've never seen any of those around here, sadly. I'll be lookin' though now. They look like little tomatillos ... but not.
ReplyDeleteYou're so amazing, Mary! I always learn something new from you. Those husk cherries look so delicious (I love pineapple and vanilla flavors), I hope I can find them at my local farmer market! :)
